What could help dog regrow hair?

My little dog (maltese cross) is suffering autoimmune disease and is on Predinson which causes thinning of her hair. Recent skin lesions cause more hair loss, some of her body is hairless. While she is continuing on medication, which is not a help to her hair, is there anyway, anything, that can help her to re-grow some hair back? diet? medications? topical treatment? Thanks a lot, desperate mom. What could help dog regrow hair?
My brother's wife has a dog with this exact thing. He's a little guy and was balding on his head and back. ANd overall his hair ws very thin and brittle. They put him on a meat based dog food and dinovite supplement and a liquid supplement too that had omega fatty acids in it. He is still a bit thin in his coat but the bald spots are gone now. Little by little he is getting better. He was actually able to come off of the steroids now. She also uses the shampoo, dogosuds because it's really good for his skin. She gets them all at the same company.

Her vet said the same thing but I think vets just don't look beyond medications.

Her dog's name is Meatball. Isn't that funny? What could help dog regrow hair?
you should change her diet to raw meaty bones it helped my dog with her allergy.

about 6 months ago she got fleas and ended up getting a flea allergy and her fur fell and thinned out in her neck, chest and back %26amp; butt area and even dough we got rid of the fleas ans she was on medication her fur never got back to what it used to be its been six months since the flea allergy happen and her fur never grew back to be as soft and full as it used to be and i recently switched my dog to a raw meat diet and its been 2 weeks today and just after a week of eating raw meat i noticed her fur got softer and shinier and by today i notice she has more hair and less dandruff and her fur is just beautiful.

but its your choice to go raw its your choice to feed whats is going to be the healthiest thing she is ever going to eat.

if you do decide to go raw you can email me though my page or just strait to

Bankg92@yahoo.com
why do you people refuse to ask your VET these questions?????

a responsible owner doesn't seek medical advice on-line. You can NOT diagnose conditions via email or try someone else's advice - it could be FATAL.

You need to make sure your dog is seeing a specialist - get a second opinion.

ASK HIM THE QUESTIONS - that's what you are paying the vet for.
tell your vet predinson shouldn't cause her to loose her fur...one of my poms on it now because she has a allergy and lost her fur to rubbing she's getting her fur back...
Protien helps grow hair, build buscles, and keep bones in good shape. Give protien vitamins for dogs.
